In France, the most frequent contexts and places of consumption of psychotropic substances, such as alcohol, tobacco, cannabis as well as cocaine, in 2021, were private parties with friends and at home. Illegal substances (cannabis, heroin, crack, ecstasy, etc.) were quite frequently consumed at festivals or concerts, and also, albeit to a lesser extent, at work parties. Compared to other locations, places of educational were the least-popular or likely location of substance use.
