The source adds the following information: "1977: Ifop poll for VSD, conducted from August 17 to 27, 1977, on a sample of 1,862 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over. The question was: "In the eyes of the French law, taking drugs is a crime and anyone who takes hashish or marijuana can be prosecuted. Do you want or not that we modify this law in the direction of a suppression of the offence of consumption of these drugs known as soft (hashish, marijuana)". Evolution to be apprehended with prudence because of the change of formulation.
1997: Ifop poll for l'Evenement du jeudi, carried out from 10 to 12 July 1997 by self-administered questionnaire, on a sample of 925 people, representative of the French population aged 15 years and over. Same formulation.
