Awareness of papillomavirus among parents in Italy 2017-2022, by vaccination status
According to a recent survey, the level of awareness of human papillomavirus (HPV) among parents in Italy increased overall between 2017 and 2022. As of 2022, the information level of parents having at least one child vaccinated against HPV was the highest, as mere than 95 percent of respondents belonging to this group knew what HPV was. By contrast, the lowest share, 83.2 percent, was registered among parents who were not interested in vaccinating their children against the virus. This figure shows the percentage of parents who have knowledge on human papillomavirus (HPV) in Italy in 2017, 2019, and 2022, by vaccination status of the children.
