Incidence of heart attacks in Sweden 2021, by gender and age
The incidence of heart attacks in Sweden in 2021 was higher among men than among women of all ages. The number of heart attacks was highest in the age of 85 years and older for both men and women. In that year, the heart attack incidence of men aged above 85 years was 2,430 per hundred thousand inhabitants, and for women it was 1,588 per hundred thousand inhabitants.
