U.S. average income of candidates who ran for office 2020, by age
Among candidates who ran for office in the United States in 2020, the average income of those between the ages of 18 and 25 was significantly lower than older candidates. Among those between the ages of 44 and 61, over half were making over 80,000 U.S. dollars per year, compared to 28 percent of those between 18 and 25 years old.
