Distribution of influenza A (H3N2) cases in Canada 2018-2022, by age group
In Canada, over half of the seasonal influenza A (H3N2) cases during the 2021-2022 flu season corresponded to people aged 5 to 44 years. In previous years, the distribution of influenza A (H3N2) cases was higher among adults aged 65 and older, accounting for about 58 and 46 percent of all seasonal flu detections between 2018 and 2020.
