A survey conducted among journalists in the United States in March 2022 found that 36 percent of journalists working in legacy TV news had been harassed by someone external to their news organization several times, making this group the most likely to have experienced harassment. The most common form of harassment was threats of personal physical harm, followed by sexual harassment.
