Social insurance contributions in Ghana 2010-2019, by source
In 2019, employer contributions to social insurance in Ghana reached 44 million current U.S. dollars, the highest compared to the other contributors. Employees and self-employed people paid 19 million and 11 million U.S. dollars to social insurance in the country, respectively. The payment of social insurance is compulsory and ensures that financial problems are avoided by offering protection against the risk of emergencies.
