Projected GHG emissions reductions in the U.S. 2022-2030, by sector
The U.S. power sector is projected to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by between 57 and 76 percent below 2022 levels by 2030, under the joint action scenario. Meanwhile, transportation sector emissions would fall by between 19 and 27 percent during this period. The U.S. has set the target of reducing economy-wide emissions by 50 to 52 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.
