Common drug allergies among U.S. adults as of 2021
According to a 2021 survey, of the adults who said they had a drug allergy, the most common type, at 18 percent, was to penicillin and related antibiotics. In addition, 1 in 10 adults were allergic to antibiotics containing sulfonamides.
