Online shoes and leather goods market share in the Netherlands 2018
This statistic shows the market share of online shoes and leather goods purchases in the Netherlands as of December 2018. The source uses its own methodology to calculate the online market share, the so-called "theoretical market share" (in Dutch: theoretisch marktaandeel), in response to numbers reported by the Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org. During the survey, Dutch households indicated that 45 percent of them bought leather goods or shoes online. On average, this 45 percent spent 36 percent of their total budget online. That (45 times 0.36) would lead to a theoretical market share of approximately 16 percent, which was the fourth highest of all product segments in the Netherlands.
