Share of teenagers who have ever had sex in the Netherlands 2001-2017
The statistic displays the results of a survey concerning the share of secondary school teenagers who have ever had sex in the Netherlands from 2001 to 2017. The survey results suggest that over the time-frame considered, the share of youths who had ever had sex decreased steadily. The results indicate that in 2001, over 16 percent of the youths surveyed had had sexual intercourse at least once, whereas by 2017 the share of youths who have ever had sex had roughly halved, to 8.8 percent.
