This statistic displays the percentage of U.S. individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) that utilized select resources to learn about or manage Parkinson's as of 2019. According to the survey, 58 percent of patients utilized a healthcare professional to learn about or manage their disease. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. This causes muscle issues, tremors, speech changes, etc. There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease.
