About 69 percent of survey respondents with private health care coverage indicated that they had received a colorectal cancer screening. According the survey, standard preventative screening includes a fecal occult blood tests within 1 year, sigmoidoscopy within 5 years and fecal occult blood test within 3 years, or colonoscopy within 10 years.
