Economic impact of diseases in the U.S. by medtech incentives 2010-2035
This statistic displays the projected economic impact in the United States by selected disease for the period from 2010 to 2035, by extent of medtech incentives. Under continued medtech incentives, heart disease would create an economic impact totaling about 7.7 trillion U.S. dollars during these years. The direct economic benefit of medical technology such as devices and diagnostics is simple to measure, however, including indirect costs such as reducing the length of hospital stays is more complex to find.
