Dietary supplement users and nonusers with low nutrient intakes in the U.S. 2003-2006
This statistic depicts the percentage of adults with nutrient intakes below that of the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) for both users and non-users of dietary supplements in the U.S. between 2003 and 2006. For Vitamin E, some 96 percent of non-users are below the EAR while only 5 percent of supplement users are below the EAR. Usage of dietary supplements are higher in women and tend to increase with age.
