Private sector cinema halls in Egypt 2021, by governorate
In 2021, Cairo, Egypt's capital, led with the highest number of private sector cinema halls, with 176 halls. Giza followed, with 48 halls. The remaining listed governorates contributed with one to four halls each. Overall, the revenue for cinema ticket sales reached around 427 million Egyptian pounds in 2021, roughly 9.02 million U.S. dollars.
