Europe: share of consumers prepared to buy a car from a Chinese brand, by country
According to survey results from July 2023, the majority of consumers in selected European countries were not prepared to buy a car from a Chinese brand. Nearly three quarters of French respondents reported they were not prepared to buy a car from a Chinese brand, and this was the highest share of participants in all nine countries. On the other hand, Spanish respondents have the most positive attitude about buying a car from Chinese brands, with 42 percent of these consumers reporting they felt prepared to purchase these vehicles.
