Share of heat pump sales in Europe and the U.S. 2022

In 2022, over half of all sales of heating systems in France and the United States were heat pumps. Meanwhile, Poland was the country where the market share of heat pumps increased the most between 2021 and 2022. Nevertheless, the figures for Poland in 2022 could in fact be somewhat lower, as the data for the overall heating system sales, from which the percentage was calculated, does not include coal-powered equipment. The annual growth of air-to-air heat pump sales in China decreased slightly in 2022, but it increased in Europe and the U.S.
