Freedom of expression score in Zimbabwe 2000-2022
In 2022, Zimbabwe scored 20 in the Global Expression Report (GxR). Compared to the prior year, this was one point higher. Over the period observed, the country's score peaked in 2013 at 21 points, while it was lowest between 2004 and 2008 at 15 points. Since 2010 the score fluctuated between 19 points and 21 points. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
