SEA: top TikTok search categories 2022

In a survey conducted across six Southeast Asian countries in October 2022, 59 percent of the respondents stated to have used TikTok to search for places to eat or drink. Travel recommendations and cooking recipes were the second and third most popular search categories among the surveyed users of the short-form video platform.
