According to a survey conducted across 18 countries in 2021, around 53.5 percent of respondents stated that their consumption of K-dramas increased after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic began. Other video-based content, such as movies and entertainment programs, also saw large increases in consumption, at around 52 percent and 51.5 percent respectively.
