Gross domestic expenditure on R&D as a share of GDP in Tanzania 2020-2022
In 2022, the gross domestic expenditure on research & development (GERD) as a share of Tanzania's GDP amounted to 0.52 percent. Compared to the previous year, R&D spending as a proportion of the GDP increased by one percent. In absolute terms, the country's gross spending on R&D amounted to 870 million U.S. dollars in 2022.
