Contraceptive methods used by female users of Title X program in the U.S., by age
In 2021, female sterilization was the primary family planning method used by 19 percent of females aged above 40 years using Title X family planning program. Oral contraceptive pills, hormonal injections and the male condom were the leading contraceptive methods used by females across most age groups. The Title X Family Planning Program is a federal grant program which aims to provide comprehensive and confidential family planning services and preventive health services in the United States.
