Share of workers who stopped working due to COVID-19 in Tunisia 2020, by quintile
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic impacted Tunisia's labor market. As of May 2020, 48 percent of the workers belonging to the bottom consumption quintile in the country stopped working. Poorer households were more likely to stop working compared to the richest quintile, where the share stood at 29 percent.
