Value of domestic and international tourist spending in Libya 2019-2020
Domestic travels make up the highest spending in the travel and tourism sector in Libya. In 2020, domestic tourist spending amounted to around 294 million U.S. dollars, which corresponded to 91 percent of the total expenditure. On the other hand, international visitors recorded a spending of 28.3 million U.S. dollars. Overall, tourist expenditure in the country declined significantly in 2020 compared to the previous year.
