Judicial effectiveness sub-score of Tunisia on the Economic Freedom Index 2017-2020
In 2020, the judicial effectiveness sub-score on the Economic Freedom Index for Tunisia was 43.6, increasing by 0.9 points from the preceding year. Throughout the period under investigation, the sub-score for Tunisia was higher than the African average. However, during the same timespan, the judicial effectiveness in Tunisia scored below the world average. Moreover, during the four years, a positive trend could be observed with regards to Tunisian judicial effectiveness. According to the index, the effectiveness of the judicial body in Tunisia was considered to be "repressed".
