Number of reported HIV/AIDS cases South Korea 1985-2022
In 2022, there were 1,066 reported cases of HIV/AIDS in South Korea. HIV has a long incubation period with mostly no symptoms; as such, the figures do not represent the number of new infections, but rather the number of reports of infections confirmed after testing. Anonymous and free testing is carried out in South Korea, and there are campaigns aiming to continue spreading awareness and reducing social stigma in the country.
