Primary energy supply share in Uruguay 2021, by source
In 2021, oil and its products was the leading source of primary energy in Uruguay, accounting for 42 percent of the country's supply. Biomass ranked a close second, with a share of 40 percent. Meanwhile, other renewable sources – including hydroelectricity, wind, and solar – contributed with 17 percent of Uruguay's primary energy supply.
