Accessing the news through the Internet in France 2021, by age and type of device
In 2021, French Internet users were asked if they accessed online national and international news through either tablet, smartphone or computer. In total, 66 percent of the respondents aged 35 or below reported getting information through the Internet, compared to 23 percent of the people aged 35 and above. Half of the respondents below 35 used their smartphones as mean of connection to the online world in contrast to 13 percent for the older sample. The use of computers came in second in both age groups, followed by the tablet.
