Value of trade balance Egypt 2013-2022
In 2022, the trade balance in Egypt had a deficit of 801.7 billion Egyptian pounds (16.86 billion U.S. dollars) due to a higher import value than export value. In that year, petroleum was the leading export product, while wheat was the leading import product. Overall, the trade deficit was largest in 2018 at around 941 billion Egyptian pounds (19.79 billion U.S. dollars) during the reviewed period.
