U.S. adults unable to afford prescriptions in 2019 by month and gender
From January to September 2019, the percentage of U.S. females who stated that their household couldn't afford a prescribed medicine in the last 12 months increased from 22.3 to 27.5 percent. This statistic shows the percentage of adults in January and September 2019 who were unable to afford prescription medication in the past 12 months, by gender. In general, females were more often not able to pay for prescription drugs.
