More than six out of 10 peope in Canada prefer traditional banks over online banks because they like to physically visit the branch and being advised by professionals. This according to a survey carried out in April 2022. The majority of the respondents also agreed that traditional banks offer better customer service than online banks. Approximately four out of 10 respondents said that they would use an online bank but they worry about how to deposit cash into it and / or do not fully trust them with their personal data. Nevertheless, with traditional banks closing, 32 percent of the respondents would consider switching to online banks.
