Greenhouse gas emissions from cement production in the U.S. 1990-2022
Cement production in the United States generated 41.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO₂e) in 2022. U.S. emissions from cement production have remained relatively stable in recent years, but have fallen by roughly nine percent compared with 2005 levels. As of 2022, the U.S. was the world's fourth-largest contributor to global cement manufacturing emissions.
