Central Asia: job creation by Chinese investment 2020

In 2020, about 30 percent of survey participants from Uzbekistan had a great deal of confidence that foreign direct investment from China would increase the number of working places for nationals in their country. Among surveyed Central Asian countries, the most skeptical were the respondents from Kazakhstan, where 35 percent had either little confidence in it or did not believe it at all.
