Ipsos in November 2019, around 15 percent of respondents in Japan thought that their children will live in a better democracy than the one they live in currently. Approximately two percent of respondents strongly agreed with this statement. Japanese respondents were among the most pessimistic regarding this issue among all countries surveyed.
